At Solar Wedding Services we have been around for quite a few years and literally performed hundreds of events for pretty much every type of audience.
Every event is unique, but sometimes some of the enquiries we receive are not. We understand that everyone has questions that need answers, but to save ourselves repeating ourselves on the phone ten times a day, we thought we would put this useful FAQ section together for you.
Q) Will the DJ turn up?
A) I have never missed a booking in 15 years. I have 3 DJ's that are ready to step in at a moments notice if the worst was to happen.
Q) What happens if the equipment breaks down?
A) Solar discos always carries at least 2 of everything, so the night won't be ruined if something was to go bang!
Q) Will the DJ play the songs that we want?
A) Solar discos will always play the songs that you want. If you request something that I feel won't go down too well, then we can discuss this. At the end of the day, you are the customer and you will always have the final say!
Q) Will it be too loud?
A) Because the quality of the sound from our equipment, this is not normally a problem. However, I would always turn it down if asked.
Q) Will the booking be confirmed in writing?
A) Solar Discos always confirms the booking in writing. This confirmation also gives information on the procedures leading up to the big day.
Q) How far in advance do I need to book?
A) The answer is as soon as possible. Because Solar discos does not sub contract work out, it is strictly on a first come, first serve basis.
Q) Will the DJ have our first dance request?
A) I will always speak to you at least one week in advance to get this kind of information. This give me time to get the songs if I have not already got them.
Q) Will you get everybody dancing?
A) There are no guarantees, but with my experience and varied music collection I would read the crowd and play the right music at the right time.
Q) Does the DJ do all the usual wedding formalities?
A) Having done over 1000 weddings, I am fully conversant with all the usual formalities, from cutting the cake, to the big send off at the end of the night.
Q) Can you supply references?
A) Solar discos can supply lots of references if requested. However, there is no better recommendation than that from a wedding venue. I have been resident DJ at the OIde Plough House in Bulphan for over 10 years, so I must be doing something right!
